Martin Luther King Day Parade
Monday January 15th, 2018
10:30am – 12:00pm
The parade route will begin at the Freedom Center and go North on Vine St.
The parade will stop at Fountain Square for a short presentation, then continue North on Vine to West on Central Parkway, to North on Elm to end at Music Hall.
Vine Street will be closed, however the cross streets will only be blocked until the parade clears the intersection.
The following routes will have to detour.
Please wait until called by RCC before starting the detour.
The Rt. 78 will detour first, then the 20, then the 46, and finally the route 21 & 64.
Service managers in the city may give you an alternate detour
as long as we can still get up Vine Street or as cross streets open.
These detours are for the Vine street closure
Rt. 20 Outbound Via 6th, R- Elm, L- Central Parkway to reg. rt.
Rt. 46 Outbound Via Main, L- Central Parkway, R- Vine to reg. rt.
Rt. 78 Inbound Via 5th, L- Main, L- Central Parkway, R- Vine to reg. rt.
These detours are for the Elm Street closure
Rt. 21 & 64 Outbound Via Elm, L- Central Parkway, R- 14th, L- Elm to reg. rt.
